Organic Raw Food (Valentines) Chocolate

Every 14th of February is not only Valentines day, but more importantly it is my sisters birthday. So  after spending all morning in bed with my husband watching Fringe and sleeping I felt inspired to make some raw organic chocolate treats for my sister who is very fond of all things healthy.
Convincing my mom to join me on the quest was easy as pie. She quickly found a suitable recipe and as she mixed the ingredients I photographed.
Here is the result.

I recommend trying this recipe, so good! and the ingredients (when organic) are good for your body and soul. My favorite at the moment is coconut oil. It helps your metabolism. Yes, it makes you thin, and heaven knows I love being thin. But more importantly, like my sister, I love being healthy.
In case you want to give it a try I have included the recipe below.

The recipe is from an Icelandic cook book by a wonderful raw food expert, Solla, who has done much to better my life and the lives of so many others striving to live healthy. Check out her English website here.

1/2 cup  Honey and Agave syrup (about half and half)
1/2 cup  Cocoa butter
1/4 cup  Coconut oil
1/2 cup  Cocoa
1 Tbsp   Lucuma
1 Tbsp   Hemp seed
2 Tbsp   Goji berries
2 Tbsp   Nuts (whatever kind you prefer, finely chopped)
1 Tsp     Vanilla
A pinch of salt

Melt the coconut oil and the cocoa butter in a bowl over hot water. Mix all ingredients. Put in candy mold or on non stick paper and stick it in the freezer/fridge until hardened.
