I painted this years ago for no good reason. It was pretty much a waste of time and I was just about to paint over it when my nephew said he liked it. So I let him have it. Recently he redecorated his room and the painting didn't really fit in. I don't blame him for not wanting it. It did however come in handy to have such a big canvas again. We didn't have anything to hang above our sofa. But now we do. Smileys.
I started by painting over the old picture with some plain white, but made sure the background wasn't too flat looking. Then I added some yellow to make it more lively.
Did I mention all of this happened in my kitchen. Our flat is tiny, and I only had our kitchen table to put the canvas on. So there you go.
